What is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy is a style of psychotherapy that uses creativity in order to support the healing process and improve a person’s physical, mental and emotional well-being in a client-centred, mindful and positive approach. Art Therapy allows you to work through difficult experiences and emotions verbally and non-verbally to communicate how you feel. You will be taught healthy coping strategies to self-manage the challenges you face while gaining a positive sense of self and insight into yourself. You do not need to be an artist; just willing to be creative and connect with others.
